Are you a dog lover who is eager in helping the stray dogs or planning to adopt a dog? Now is your chance!

This project is to give a helping hand to the stray dogs in MIAR. MIAR is a NGO which is also known as Malaysia Independent Animal Rescue located in Puchong.

What About MIAR (Malaysia Independent Animal Rescue)?

MIAR only rescue stray dogs that is in serious wounded condition such as dogs that were involved in car accident which caused difficulties in movement and dogs with serious infections. There is a total of 172 stray dogs in MIAR shelter. Furthermore, MIAR’s mission is that the rescued stray dogs will not be put sleep no matter the situation of the stray dogs is in but to do their best in recovering them.

MIAR also faces financial stress such as high cost of veterinarian bill for vaccine and health care. Furthermore, large amount of dog food is needed where they currently require 40 kg per day of rice for the stray dogs. Electricity and water bills also increase their financial stress.  

What are we trying to make better?

My team and I are planning to improve the facility of MIAR shelter by providing more sheds as well as a cleaner and comfortable environment for the stray dogs to live in. Moreover, we also aim to relief the financial stress that MIAR faces by providing significant amount of food for the stray dogs. 

BUDGET PLAN

Due to huge numbers of stray dogs in MIAR shelter, MIAR shelter require 40 kg of rice per day to feed the stray dogs. 

10 kg of rice cost RM 23.00

RM23.00 x 4 packs of 10 kg x 50 days of rice = RM 4600.00

5 litre of Dog shampoo cost RM 50

RM 50 x 8 bottles of 5 L = RM 400.00

TOTAL COST = RM 5000.00
